Overview

What is Promoted Placement?

Promoted Placement is an advertising solution that gets your business seen by more customers by placing your restaurant in one of the top 5 search positions on the Just Eat app or website.

Am I eligible for Promoted Placement?

If you want to appear in the top 5 search results in a postcode of your choice, your restaurant will just need a minimum Customer Experience Score of 30. This can be found within your Partner Centre.

What is Cost Per Click?

Cost Per Click means that you’ll only be charged for every unique click on your menu whilst appearing on Promoted Placement.

How much does it cost?

As much as you want. With Promoted Placement, you can set a weekly budget and decide the maximum amount you’re willing to pay for one of the top spots.

How long does the contract last?

Any new contract will be fixed for 6 weeks. After this initial 6 week period, the contract will become a rolling agreement.

Can I cancel at any time?

The contract cannot be cancelled during the initial 6 week period, but you can cancel at any time after this by contacting our team. All contracts will then end on the Sunday.

If I advertise my restaurant on Promoted Placement does that mean that I will always be appearing at the top of the search results on the Just Eat app and website?

Once you activate a campaign with Promoted Placement, your restaurant will share one of the top five positions with other restaurant partners. This means that you might not be appearing at the top at all times. However, you will pay only if a customer clicks on your menu while you're appearing as promoted.

Where can I see my results?

On a monthly basis, we will send you an email with a summary of your performance so that you can keep track of your progress.

Managing campaigns and budget

How does Promoted Placement work?

You can sign up to Promoted Placement in just a few clicks. Just log in to Partner Centre and select ‘Promoted Placement’ from the menu. Once you’ve selected which postcode you want to advertise your menu in, you’ll be able to set a weekly budget and stay in control of how much you spend. And remember, you’ll only be charged if a customer clicks on your menu.

What happens if I reach my budget?

You’ll be able to decide how much you want to spend on Promoted Placement every week. If your weekly budget is running low, we’ll send you a text to let you know so you can adjust your spend. If you choose not to, we’ll pause your campaign for that week.

What happens if I reach my budget and I decide not to top up?

If you reach your budget and you decide not to top up, your promoted spot will be removed for the remainder of the week. But don’t worry, you’ll be included in one of the five top positions the following Monday morning (until the end of your contract).

Top Placement and Promoted Placement

What’s the difference between the previous Top Placement and the new Cost per Click product?

Like Top Placement, Promoted Placement allows your restaurant to appear as promoted in one of the five top positions on the Just Eat website and app.

So, what’s changed?
  • You choose how much want to pay. With Promoted Placement, you need to set up a weekly budget, which is the maximum you’re willing to pay to appear as promoted.
  • You pay only for results. With Promoted Placement you pay only when a customer clicks on your menu. Bye-bye fixed fees!

Why change?

We wanted to offer our Restaurant Partners a more flexible and fairer contract that gives restaurant owners more freedom and control.

When and how will I be invoiced?

You will be charged only for every unique click on your menu whilst appearing on Promoted Placement. The amount on the invoice will vary from week to week, according to the number of clicks that you have received. We will never charge you more than you have set up as your weekly budget.
